This is part of an ongoing series that started off as a fascination with the reinvention of an animated image format developed over twenty years ago for the internet. The innovation was based on using traditional photographic principles and its popularity was due to social networking sites that emphasize the curation of images.
The work is about time as a commodity and the juxtaposition of stillness with movement.
The themes expressed in these images resist the desire to conjure up ideas and questions relating to global, political, or religious issues; instead they lean more towards the struggles I have with developing a philosophy on looking at myself and how I view the time I live in on a more personal level.
Thanks for looking,
